Role of Millennial Urban Lifestyles in the Transformation of Kampung Kota in Indonesia/

In Indonesia, this movement has led to the creation of settlements called kampung kota. Kampung and kota are different forms of settlements, but the lifestyle in kota can indirectly affect the lifestyle in kampung. As the millennial generation has attracted growing attention, it has been noted that the lifestyle of millennials has begun to influence urban lifestyles more generally. The large number of millennials who have settled in kampungs has caused change to the forms of the kampung, as seen in their structure and layout and the allotment of space when zoning is carried out. Based on a literature review, observation of urban lifestyles in the kampung and interviews with people living in kampung Kebon Kacang, Jakarta, and kampung Kukusan, Depok, sought to find changes in the forms of the kampung kota, which follow the needs and lifestyles of the millennial generation.
